WordPress released 5.9, “Joséphine”. Named in honor of acclaimed international jazz singer Joséphine Baker. Let’s find what’s new in this release:

On this Wednesday, Instagram announced a new profile banner that will display a user’s upcoming livestreams. When this banner is displayed, followers can subscribe to get notified about the live stream. Not only your followers but also those who come across your profile can able to view this banner/badge. The head of Instagram Adam Mosseri detailed about this new feature in their video below.

Google introduced a new robots tag called “indexifembedded”. It will bring more control over when your content is indexed. With this tag, you can tell Google you would still like your content indexed when its embedded through iframes and similar HTML tags in other pages. Presently, only Google supports the indexifembedded tag.

Google has added a new section named “Updated from Customers” in Google maps interface under the Google business profile listings. This will show some recent reviews from Google Local Guides. When you click on one, it loads more reviews from customers.
